Wang Rui, Product director of Yimu Technology, was invited to speak on the technology and application of light field camera in MEMS and Wise Things

In July, in MEMS's "Micro and Nano Optical Components and Applications" series of courses, Wang Rui, product director of Yimu Technology, was invited to give a lecture on the course "3D Imaging Technology and Application of light field Camera based on Microlens Array", which introduced the microlens array technology. The existence of microlens array enables the light field camera to record parallax, which provides new possibilities for 3D imaging applications. The optical field camera mainly places a microlens array (MLA) between the main lens and the imaging plane, and the MLA is parallel to the imaging plane. This design enables the optical field camera to capture the position and Angle information of the light in space at the same time - recording the 4D light field information and rendering the light field to realize the ability of imaging before focusing.

As the accuracy of object detection becomes higher and higher, the measured object becomes more and more complex, and machine vision is evolving from 2D vision to 3D vision under the strong demand. Wang Rui, Product Director of Yimu (Shanghai) Technology Co., LTD., graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. During the postgraduate period, I was mainly engaged in the research work in the fields of electromechanical control, three-dimensional optical field imaging and artificial intelligence target detection. I have rich experience in the industrialization of optical field cameras, and master the hardware design of optical field cameras, the manufacture of micro and nano components, camera production and packaging, and image algorithm technology. During the study period, I won SMC first-class scholarship, second-class scholarship, University B scholarship, and other scholarships. I have 1 patent and 2 software works, etc. I led the team to win the gold award in Shanghai and Silver award in National Competition of the 7th "Internet +" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition with "Optical field 3D imaging Innovation Technology".
